AWS is where I deploy and run most of my production workloads. I started with the basics like EC2 and S3 and slowly got comfortable with more services as projects demanded. The breadth is huge but once you understand the core building blocks it becomes very powerful.
For most apps I reach for S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudFront and RDS. I like how the services compose together and how far the free tier takes you while you are still learning.
